If you’re like me, then the first thing you do after opening a text file is glance at its title. That’s how you know if you’re going to spend time reading it or not. And that’s what ReadMe! does for you. It allows you to do just that. It’s a tool that can help you decide if a text file is going to take you a few minutes or an hour.

For the time being, it’s available as a web app, but we’re working on making it available as a native app too. In the meantime, you can use it as a browser plugin.

ReadMe! is a reading tool that makes reading more enjoyable. Its goal is to help readers decide how much time to spend reading a given text file.

So, what does ReadMe! do?

When you're reading a text file in your browser, it automatically highlights the words that you're focusing on. That way, you don't have to make any extra effort to keep track of what you're reading about. You don't need to move your eyes or your phone, you just need to keep them on the text file.

And that's not all. The highlights are not just words. It also highlights sentences, paragraphs, and other units of text.
